Ian got an Easter gift from his Grandma and Grandpa Ferner - Donald Duck dressed as the Easter bunny. He has recently learned to jump, so he's added that to his dance moves.

Beautiful Day
We had some beautiful weather today, so Joe took the day off and we spent most of it outside. This morning Ian played at the playground so he would be tired enough for a good nap, and this afternoon we all went for a hike. Ian hitched a ride and was content to quack at all the ducks we saw along the way.

When we got home, Ian decided to roll around in the dirt for a while before dinner.

Dancing
Ian loves to dance, especially to the ABC song. At the beginning of this video, you can hear him shout out some letters when the music starts. He knows I, A, and N but doesn't understand that they spell his name. He also gets an E in there somewhere, I think. We had Sesame Street on the TV, so he also stops to point at a sheep (hence the "baaaaa") and to point out Elmo a few times.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Today we celebrated an early St. Patrick's Day with our friends the Waterfields. Every year we look forward to their delicious corned beef and cabbage - it's the best!
Ian thought the hats were pretty fun.

We wore our matching green shirts for the occasion.

Spring is Almost Here!
Today was sunny and warm enough to spend some time outside. Four Ferners (furry and not) walked 5 miles; the littlest one got a free ride in his stroller. He spent the entire walk watching the airplanes fly overhead. We also spent our first afternoon of the season on the deck. Ian enjoyed his bubble machine, but was mad we wouldn't let him run through the muddy yard.

Port Discovery
Today we went to Port Discovery in Baltimore, where they just opened a toddler section of the children's museum. It was awesome!
After lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, Ian and his friends Jack and Taylor spent hours running around inside the museum.
Playing with the giant Lite Brite

Crabby guy

Sifting sand, looking for fossils

Peeking through the porthole

Joe did some climbing and crawling too

The butterfly tube was so much fun!

Splashing in the water room

Ending the day with some watercolor painting
