Swimming Pool

The neighborhood pools opened this weekend, so this afternoon we headed over to check out the kid-friendly pool. Ian wasn't so sure about the idea at first - he would only go in the water if one of us held on to him.



After a little while, he figured out that the fountains were pretty fun, so he spent the rest of the time splashing around.

Strawberry Festival

Today we went to the Delaplane Strawberry Festival which, as a festival, turned out to be kind of a bust. But, we got to visit with our friends the Guilfoyles so that made the day great!



Ian loved the petting zoo, probably because the goats gave him a kiss.


He got a snake painted on his hand, which turned out to be an omen because a little while later we saw an actual snake who wasn't very happy that a festival was happening in his house.


Ian ended the festival with a few turns through the obstacle course.

Frying Pan Farm Park

This afternoon we decided to enjoy the warm weather with a quick visit to Frying Pan Farm. Ian loved running around pointing out all of the animals and shouting out their animal sounds, and he got to see some brand new baby "giggies."

Ian went for a ride in the convertible yesterday, and enjoyed the extra wide view - much better for pointing out airplanes.
