Snow Storm

On Thursday we woke up to 13" of snow on the ground.

Poor Mia could barely walk around because the snow came up above her knees.

The kids scaled Mount Mailbox while Joe and I shoveled the driveway, and that was about as much snow as any of us were interested in dealing with for the rest of the day.  And the rest of the winter for that matter.

Discover the Dinosaurs

Last weekend we went to an exhibit called Discover the Dinosaurs.  Ian's class had been learning about dinosaurs all week and his teacher suggested the event as a good way to supplement his lessons.  The adults were not impressed, but the kids seemed to enjoy themselves.

The exhibit portion of the event had scenes with "moving" dinosaurs.  Ian liked the T. Rex best.

There were a few sand tables to practice excavating fossils.  Archaeologist briefly replaced baseball player as Ian's chosen career path.

We also played some dinosaur-themed mini golf.

Ian waited very patiently in a long line for the chance to ride a dinosaur.

Mia was content to watch from the side and eat a snack.
