St. Louis Visit

We spent a few days in St. Louis visiting the Ferners.  We arrived on Thursday and, although it wasn't quite warm enough to swim, the kids (and a few brave adults) went in the pool anyway.

Mia was quickly tired of swimming and went for the cheese balls.

More snacks Grandma!

On Friday we went to Grant's Farm.  The visit started with a train ride through the grounds to see the wild animals.

Ian fed the goats some milk.  Mia wanted nothing to do with them.

Mia practiced hopping like the kangaroo.

Hey elephant!!

Joe and Ian rode the camel.

Mia was too small to ride the camel, but she helped Uncle Tom feed one.

Friday evening it was chilly so Tim built a fire in the fire pit after the kids went to bed.  I can't remember ever being cold enough for a fire in August before.

Saturday we celebrated the August birthdays with the family, then played with glow sticks before bed.

Sunday we had a pool party with the extended family, and luckily the sun decided to warm things up a bit.  Aunt Janet set up a slip-n-slide, and it was a big hit!

Ian put on his swim shirt and did a few laps around the shallow end.

These two had so much fun they were asleep before the plane even took off!
