Apple Picking

Fall is the best time of year in Virginia, not only because the weather is beautiful and the trees are starting to change color, but because of all the festivals.  Yesterday we went to the Apple Cider Festival at Great Country Farms, followed by a visit to Bluemont Vineyards.

We took a wagon ride to the apple orchard, where we picked several pounds of apples.  Ian was in charge of reaching the apples in the tops of the trees.

Mia held the bag, and was the designated taste-tester.

Yum!

The kids enjoyed the play area more than the apple picking.

The winery had a great view, and delicious wine!
